Create Your Character

You have a character class, archetype, race, subrace and one origin feat. Archetypes improve on levels 3 and 6. (Sub)Races improve on levels 2, 4 and 6.

You have a character class, archetype, race, subrace and one origin feat. You can begin quickly using the Character Generator to select class, race, subrace, and archetype.

Easy classes to start with

If you are new to d20 systems, we recommend starting with one of the following classes:

How to Progress?

You gain one feat every session (or 1000 experience), unless your dungeons master decide otherwise. You can use the experience to increase attributes (advanced), or receive one skill point per 200 experience (you cannot increase the skill ranks of a single skill above your level), You can choose any feat you meet the prerequisites for. See the 6l4h Feats or use thePathfinder online source, or google for dndtools for the overwhelming selection.

Because it is hard to choose from a thousand feats, here are some suggestions. Once they are depleted you can ask your dungeon master for advice or google "dnd 3.5 / pathfinder 1e (archer, wizard, figher...) handbook" and look into their suggestions.

Always nice to have!

Lightning Reflexes, Dodge, Improved Toughness, Great Fortitude, Iron Will, Skill Focus, most class feats are worth looking into!

Good for Fighters

Power Attack, Deadly Defense, Deadly Offense, Specialized Fighter, Precise Strike

Good for Spellswords

Chopping Ability, Arcane Strike

Good for Spellcasters

Spell Focus, Greater Spell Focus, Spell Penetration, Greater Spell Penetration, Metamagician , Epic Metamagician, Empowered Spell

Skills

There are different skills than in normal d20srd. We strongly advice using those, because the classes have updated class skills. See the Rules for details (Skills category).

Experience and Progression

Adapt experience awards to your liking. For a fast progression, give your players 1000 experience each session (roughly one feat). You might allow improving attributes and skills with experience as well. See the Rules for guidance.

Choose which rules to use

For example, you might use an alternative rule for armor and natural armor:
